TG-100 Series Internal Tube Grippers
EXTRACTS WITHOUT IMPACT WRENCHES OR EXPENSIVE “COLLET” PULLERS
The Right Gripper is Important
The table below will help you determine the right gripper to use. When the Miller GJ-100 Gripper Jack is used to make the initial pull of the tube from its engagement with the tube sheet, an internal tube gripper must be used. This is to eliminate any damage to the inside diameter of the tube sheet holes and to the ligament area between the holes. The gripper must be screwed into the tube to a depth just beyond the tube roll. Use an impact wrench, preferable pneumatic. The tube should be cut off just inside the tube sheet at the opposite end.
